I've been crazy busy this last month juggling some personal projects and a bunch of 3d parts so it's been causing all sorts of delays, but not all is lost. I have the prints for the underslung missile launchers in hand and I am currently in the middle of cleaning them and preparing them for molding. If all goes as planned they will be available by the end of next week. I know a lot of you guys have been waiting a long time on these launchers and I apologize for being so far behind schedual. The good news is they're almost here. (finally!)
Feburary is shaping up to be quite busy as I attempt to play a lot of catch up with several of the resculpts, continue work on...

I've recieved a few email inquiring about the katana and no dachi swords which were temporarily removed from the site.
Ever since I started producing those parts the molds for those items have given me a large number of problems with bubbles being trapped and the casts being weak due to air in the hilt area or blade. Because they are rather thin there's no easy way for me to fix it and I was getting failure rates of 30%-50% which is unacceptably high.
Additionally it's very hard to tell which parts might be defective and I didn't want customers recieving inferrior product that'd break on them.
I do intend to return them to production in the near future however they will be an...

Just giving a heads up to everyone that several of the parts are going to be discontinued.
As of Nov 7th the Bio-Swords and Monster Bio-Swords will no longer be in production.
I only have a small handful of these left, once they are sold they will not be restocked, peroid.
Some of my other parts are going to have some changes made so they may not be available for a while. They will be relisted once the new versions are finished. After the 7th the original sculpts will not be made available again.
The items reciveving resculpts will be:
Bio-Terror
Riding Wolves ( full kit version)
Bio-Tendril
If you are in need of any of these parts for your projects I suggest ...

One of the requests I frequently get asked for is bases. I've explored this several times and I haven't been able to do it yet due to costs. Textured bases are possible but aren't particuarly cheap and it's very hard to come up with deisgns that look right. Resin is fairly expensive and nobody wants a blank resin base due to the signifincatly higher cost over plastic, yet every miniatures gamer I know needs blank bases from time to time. So that leads to the question "Where to buy reasonably priced bases?"
Most smaller sizes are available on ebay or through bits sellers but the larger bases that are 40-60mm can be a bit pricey, which is why I was pretty excited to see a new start up ...

I had a lot of delays and set backs on the auto cannons and missile launchers but they are finally in stock. I didn't want to place these items up for pre-order this time around as I wanted to be 100% sure the molds were working correctly so that it wouldn't further complicate things. They've both been added to the 54mm scale parts page.
The ammo belts are being redone, they proved too thin and brittle for casting so I eitehr have to redesign them or have them sent out to be cast in metal. I have the underslung missile launcher out at the printers but it will be several weeks before it's ready.
I am currently at work cleaning up the large vehicle sized version of the missile ...

I've been feeling the itch to do another stand alone model. I comissioned some concept art for a mecha robot from David White. He has some great mech designs and has done tons of work for the Battletech line as well as some work with Transformers and a number of comics. www.mechazone.com is his website, any fan of big stompy robots should check it out. I'm a fan of his Mech Zone books and give a thumbs up to anyone considering picking up a copy. He's got some really slick looking artwork.
Here's the piece he did for me which I'm in the process of modelling in 3d.

It's going to be a ton of work but I love the design and I think it'll be a ...

At the beginning of August I'd placed the previews for the Auto Cannons & missile Launchers up. I'd been hoping to have them ready by mid Aug but I ran into a few delays which has pushed that back slightly. They took about a week longer than expected at the printers which would have be ok to deal with had I not fudged up the masters while working on them.
When the parts are printed they have a bunch of stepping marks on them due to how the parts are built up in layers, which requires some pretty tedious cleaning to remove. In an effort to help speed up the cleaning time I decided to test out a new attachment for my dremmel and I was a bit too heavy handed with it. As a result several of the pieces ended up getting ...

The website has been running for just over a year and a half so I figured it was best to start keeping an on-site blog. As you are pretty much all aware of I've been posting my work on various gaming and modelling forums. I've always appreciated the feedback and comments you leave, it's a large part of what inspires me to keep at my work.
The day to day grind of casting work is tedious and dull, but what makes it worthwhile is seeing ideas transformed into reality and there's a sort of magic in being able to pour some resin into a mold and within minutes have it transformed into a piece of art. That part never gets old, nor does seeing the various conversions people create with those parts.
As an ...
